We have been made aware that the domain obriensolicitors-au[.]com was recently registered using our business name. This domain has no affiliation with O’Brien Solicitors whatsoever, and we are pleased to confirm it has now been taken down.

This type of activity is an increasingly common scam targeting law firms across Australia. We were advised by authorities to notify our clients promptly, and we are doing so as a precautionary measure in case any fraudulent emails were sent before the domain was removed.

We want to reassure you, our firm has not been compromised.

What you need to know

Bank detail changes: If you have received any communication from us in the last three weeks notifying you of a change to our bank details, please contact us immediately. If our bank details were ever to change, this would never be communicated by email alone.
Invoices and trust account requests: All invoices and trust account requests from our firm are sent securely through our practice management software system.
Trust account receipts: All trust account receipts are issued in accordance with our obligations under the Legal Profession Uniform Law.
