Low range PCA drink driving charge
VD was charged with driving with a low range PCA (Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol). In the case of a second or subsequent offence, this is a charge that can result in a fine of over $2000.
Section 10
After a guilty plea to this drink driving charge, the court made an order under section 10 (1) (b) that VD be discharged on condition that they enter a good behaviour bond for 18 months. No conviction was recorded and VD was not disqualified from driving.
