Professional Approach and Interest Areas
Wilson enjoys the challenge of working across NSW, Victorian and NT criminal jurisdictions, viewing inter-jurisdictional practice as an opportunity to learn and refine his criminal law skill-sets.
In general, Wilson describes his approach to criminal matters as hands-on, efficient and driven yet personable. Wilson considers the criminal law as an area requiring compassion for individuals in difficult situations, facing significant problems that affect their livelihoods.
Accordingly, Wilson’s approach is heavily centred on building relationships of trust between his clients and himself and acting as a realistic, pragmatic and contactable advocate for his clients.
Outside of the criminal law, Wilson is particularly interested in criminal-adjacent civil litigation, including intentional tort claims for police misconduct. Beyond the law, Wilson maintains an active personal interest in fine art history.
