Assault police and contravene AVO

Assault police and contravene AVO

JV faced charges of assaulting a police officer in the execution of duty and contravening a condition of an Apprehended Violence Order.

However, JV pleaded not guilty and defended his charges. Several police officers gave evidence about the assault and contravention. We called evidence in the defence case.

Not guilty

Subsequently, the prosecution did not prove its case against JV beyond reasonable doubt and both charges against JV were dismissed.

If you’re facing assault charges, contact our assault lawyers right now. We can help you get the best possible result in court, even getting the prosecution to withdraw or downgrade the charges.

Testimonial:

“I am so grateful for everything you have done for my son (JV). We knew the truth about what had happened and I am so thankful for everything you did Peter. I didn’t want my son having a criminal record for something he didn’t do” – DV
