Possess prohibited drugs charges: Police v EG

Facts:

EG was charged with possessing a prohibited drug per s.10(1) Drugs Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985.  It was alleged that she was in possession of two ecstasy tablets when searched by police in a public place.

Outcome:

EG pleaded not guilty and her matter was listed for hearing before the Fairfield Local Court. Representations were made to police to have the charge against out client withdrawn. Those representations were successful and the charge was withdrawn and dismissed against her on the morning of the hearing.
