Elliot Rowe

Elliot Rowe is a Senior Associate and Team Leader in the criminal law practice at O’Brien Criminal & Civil Solicitors. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory in August 2015 and is also admitted to practise in the High Court of Australia.
Elliot graduated from the Australian National University with a Master of Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts (International Relations).
Elliot has extensive experience across both indictable and summary criminal matters and appears regularly in all courts throughout New South Wales.
He also has significant expertise in appellate advocacy, including matters before the District Court, Court of Criminal Appeal and Court of Appeal, and is frequently involved in complex conviction and severity appeals.
Elliot is highly experienced in inquiry work and has appeared in numerous coronial inquests, acting on behalf of families of the deceased as well as persons of interest.
He brings a strategic and measured approach to these sensitive proceedings, with a strong focus on achieving effective outcomes for his clients.
A skilled courtroom advocate, Elliot’s practice is focused on contested hearings and legal argument, particularly in matters involving the exercise of police powers. He is known for his clear and persuasive advocacy in complex and high-stakes matters.
