Facts: Aggravated robbery following road rage incident
CJ faced charges of aggravated robbery (section 95(1) of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW)) after a road rage altercation in Glebe in Sydney’s inner west.
CJ was the front passenger of a car that prevented the victim’s car from changing lanes. After the victim stared at the car and shook his head, the driver and CJ stepped out of the car and assaulted the victim. The victim began using his phone to photograph the car details. CJ approached the passenger door of the victim, reached in, and took his phone.
Outcome: not guilty of aggravated robbery (corporal violence)
