Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wollongong in 2020. In Arts she majored in Politics and Philosophy.
During her final years of studies, Megan elected to spend a semester in the United Kingdom, at the University of Surrey, to broaden her Arts degree.
Prior to joining the team at O’Brien Criminal & Civil Solicitors, Megan gained in-depth experience working in Plaintiff led personal injury firms working across the fields of workers compensation, work injury damages, public liability, motor vehicle accidents, historical sexual abuse and medical negligence She also volunteered her time at the Environmental Defenders Office.
Current Practice Area
As a Senior Associate at the the firm, Megan’s practice in civil litigation involves representing and advising client in historical sexual abuse matters, matters involving:
– police accountability including false imprisonment and malicious prosecution,
– general civil litigation in all jurisdictions,
– and in disciplinary and administrative areas of law including Fair Trading / Trades licence related cases.

Megan is immensely passionate and vocal about fighting for justice for the people.
Notably, she has represented students who had their freedom of speech silenced by universities, vulnerable individuals who were induced to gamble by betting agencies, veterans who experienced abuse during their service, and protesters who faced unlawful police action.
In her downtime, Megan can often be found in activist spaces protesting, writing articles, and attending lecture panels to further her knowledge and understanding of the injustices of our system.
