Sisters fight while intoxicated after a night of drinking and partying

BA was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (AOBH) after a fight with her sister following a night of drinking and partying. The two sisters were intoxicated at the time of the incident.

BA allegedly punched and kicked her sister using her hands and feet. As a result, her sister was said to have scratching and bruising to her upper left arm, bruising to her forehead and right temple. Police were called and arrested BA.

Charge of assault dismissed for lack of evidence

O’Brien Criminal and Civil Solicitors successfully represented BA. On the whole, the evidence could not be satisfied beyond reasonable doubt. The charge for AOBH (assault occasioning actual bodily harm) was dismissed.
