Acquitted of assault with intent to rob

Assault with intent to rob with wounding charge

Noah* was charged with assault with intent to rob with wounding when an alleged argument ensued between Noah and his friends, and another man. That other man was stabbed and robbed in the assault.

Noah was charged on the basis he engaged in a joint criminal enterprise with the co-accused.

On behalf of our client, we argued that the facts of the case present no basis for an intent to rob the victim.
